Emergency Contacts

  • You can contact the Emergency Services in Spain by dialling 112 from any phone, including your mobile. This is the equivalent of dialling 999 in the UK, or 911 in the USA. Whilst we have never had cause to contact the emergency services in Spain we are advised that the operators will speak both Spanish and English.

  • The local municipal Police can be contacted via +34 952 890 945, or if you need to visit a Police Station then the address is Calle Dr. Álvarez Leiva, 8, 29691 Manilva, Málaga, Spain - reintroduce.musicians.element

  • Hopefully the most you will need medically during your stay may be a pharmacy. Pharmacies are plentiful in most locations, probably the closest to Alcazaba Lagoon is in Duquesa - grab.bodyguards.picturesque

  • As per the UK Government website before travelling to Spain you should ensure you have both travel insurance and n EHIC or GHIC which covers state healthcare, not private treatment. With an EHIC or GHIC you can get medically necessary treatment in Spain on the same basis as a Spanish citizen. This means that you’ll get healthcare services for free or at a reduced cost.

  • We have not had cause to try or test any of the medical facilities in Spain, and so only offer the following details as a starting point and please do conduct your own research prior to deciding where to seek medical care, or consult with your travbel insurance provider.

  • A Google search shows that an English speaking GP can be accessed in Estepona, please see their website for further details - http://www.doctorfurness.com/

  • For emergencies or something requiring hospital treatment then a Google search shows the Cenyt Hospital in Estepona as an option - https://www.cenythospital.com/en/

Grocery Shopping

You have a few options when it comes to shopping for the essentials...

Aldi

This is the closest, and probably the smallest, option for picking up a few little bits and can be found about 2.5 miles away from Alcazaba Lagoon. Aldi can be found at dispersing.antenna.croaks. Importantly though this supermarket is one of the few we've found that are open on Sundays!

Lidl

This is the next most convenient grocery shop and offers a better range than Aldi. Lidl is slightly further away at about 5 miles from Alcazaba Lagoon. Lidl can be found at tamed.lighthouses.mower.

Carrefour

For a much better Spanish shopping experience then there is a large Carrefour in Estepona which is about 8.3 miles from Alcazaba Lagoon. Carrefour can be found at smart.archives.holds.
